CALA will host a Record Retention Webinar focused on the implications of AB 251 (Kalra). The bill allows courts to lower the burden of proof in elder abuse cases if intentional destruction, concealment, or improper alteration of evidence is found. Jay Thomas, CALA Public Policy Committee chair and assistant general counsel at Atria Senior Living, will moderate a discussion with attorneys Lori Ferguson, partner at Hanson Bridgett, and Spencer Stein, partner at Wilson Getty, on what AB 251 means for RCFEs and CCRCs and what organizations may want to consider regarding their record retention practices.
