Meeting with legislators during state and federal advocacy days helps foster and solidify relationships with legislators and reminds our representatives of the significant impact licensed senior living providers have on their constituents, including residents, their families, and employees. CALA’s Day in Your District has been providing this opportunity with state legislators for years.
Additionally, we invite you to join us for CALA’s annual Federal Day in Your District where you will meet with your congressional representative. Recently, there has been heightened attention on senior living at the federal level and it is important to build relationships with your congressional representatives to advocate for this model of care on the national level. Like Day in Your District, CALA members will meet with federal policymakers to discuss our model of care and create new relationships, or build on existing relationships, with congressional representatives and their district staff.
