During the second half of a two-year legislative session, it’s more important than ever that we strengthen relationships and share our position on legislation that affects Assisted Living, Memory Care and Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Participate in Advocacy Day and make a difference by:

  • meeting with legislators at the Capitol “Swing Space”;
  • discussing key legislative proposals and California’s unique political dynamics;
  • learning about how the PAGA initiative impacts senior living and how you can get involved in stopping the shakedowns; and
  • celebrating CALA member advocates and legislative champion who have made a positive impact.

Advocacy Day begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. with an issue briefing from CALA’s policy team followed by legislative visits. Be sure to attend the issue briefing to hear about CALA’s current legislative priorities, ask questions about legislative meetings and pick up your Advocacy Day folder. Below is a detailed schedule of events.
