Outstanding Team Member

CALA members are continually setting standards of excellence, demonstrating superior achievements and delivering outstanding care to residents in Assisted Living communities. We are pleased to announce the Call for Submissions for CALA's Excellence in Service - Outstanding Team Member Award, which will recognize an exceptional team member at the CALA 2009 Conferences. CALA members are encouraged to submit nominations for team members who fit the criteria below.

Description: This award shall be presented to an outstanding team member that has provided outstanding service and demonstrated a strong commitment to the residents and community. Non-caregiver, non-salaried employees from all departments are eligible for this award.

Award Highlights:

  • Entries are due by February 20, 2009.
  • Submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee.
  • Honorees will be announced and recognized at CALA's 2009 Conferences.
  • Honorees will be the subject of an article in the CALA Bulletin.

To Participate: Complete and submit the online Excellence in Service - Outstanding Team Member application no later than February 20. 2009.

Review and Selection Process: All entries received by February 20, 2009 will be reviewed by the Selection Committee, who will review the entries and select honorees based on assigned point values.

Members of the California Assisted Living Association (CALA) are committed to providing residents with quality care and quality of life. CALA's Excellence in Service - Outstanding Team Member Award recognizes those individuals whose service results in enhanced quality of care and quality of life for Assisted Living residents in California. Selected nominations in the Excellence in Service - Outstanding Team Member Award may be archived and available for on-site review at CALA events. The selected nominee will be discussed at CALA events, in the CALA Bulletin, and on the CALA website. Specifics of the selected nominee (name, organization and other details) may be shared by CALA. Two honorees will be chosen, one representing Northern California, to be awarded at CALA's Spring Conference and one representing Southern California, to be awarded at CALA's Fall conference. Please indicate at which conference you'd like this employee to be recognized.
